I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said this:
I dunno how, but it’s become one of the first things I ask my closest friends when we speak over the phone. Horrible grammar, huh? Yeah, I know, but that’s not the point…
As I was reflecting on my tendency to ask this question, I felt led to push past this question…
Remembering who God is helps me put this in perspective.
1. I need to be doing what God has commanded me to do.
2. I need to ask Him for help doing it!
3. I can do all things through Christ! (Philippians 4:3)
4. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6)
5. Jesus is the Author and Finisher (Hebrews 12:2)
Author and Finisher? Yes! … We are His sons and daughters, therefore, we should manifest His character. We all love that feeling we get when we are about to finish things that we are doing. 🙂 It really feels great!
So with the question, ‘What you doing?’ ask others, ‘How’s it coming along?’ ‘What can I do to help?’ ‘When is your completion goal?’
Also ask several other encouraging words and phrases like, ‘You got this!’ ‘Remember, since God brought you to this, He will bring you through this!’
