Two All-Beef Patties
Do you like Big Macs?
‘Two all-beef patties’ aren’t my thing, lol. But you will frequently hear me singing that, thanks to Tyler Perry.
For some people, that’s their go-to meal.
It’s all good. Eat what you like to eat.
Likewise, if we want to please someone we serve them things that they like to eat. It’s important to know what they like and what they don’t like.
In the case with our relationship with our Creator, we must seek His face to see what He likes and what He would have us to do with our lives.
The other day, someone asked me if I thought that God was mad at them because they have been doing some things that were ‘against God’.
They said, “I love God. I just be doing ‘this and that’ sometimes”. Then they proceeded to say that there is no way that God could be ‘that mad’ at them…
I do not know, but the conversation with thos young lady took me down a path to look at the relationship between love and obedience.
Of course, I went to the Word. It’s clear that there is a direct correlation between our love for God and our willingness to obey his commandments.
Matthew 5:19
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 15:9
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Matthew 19:17
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Notes:
1. The 10 Commandments are not obsolete. God mentioned them many times- this is no accident. He is far too intentional for that!
2. ‘Love and commandment keeping’ are seperate entities, both very important. You need both.
3. There is a direct correlation between the two, but they are not equal.
4. Keeping the commandments alone is not love, but keeping the commandments are an indication of our love towards Him.

Love
Our Lord came to earth to fulfill the commandments.
Unfortunately, the Catholic Church encourages people to break these commandments.
1. That shalt have no other gods before me. In the Catholic belief system, individuals are to treat the pope like he is a god. He is able to configure and rearrange Scripture.
2. That shalt not make unto thee any graven images. In the Catholic belief system, they encourage the use of and distribution of statues and statuettes.
3. Thou shall not take the Lord’s name in vain. In the Catholic belief system, followers perform any act that may indicate that they are lovers of God and his son but they do not truly love him or honor him. If they did, they would keep His commandments. John 14:15.
4. Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy. In the Catholic belief system, this Pope was allowed to change the holy day from Sabbath to Sunday to honor of the Sun God and to demonstrate his power and control over all humanity.
5. Honor thy father and thy mother. In the Catholic belief system, followers are encouraged to call the Pope father when the Bible says call no man father. Matthew 23:9.
6. Thou shalt not kill. In the Catholic belief system, the Spirit of God is quenched and true worship is denied.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery. In the Catholic belief system, rather than preparing to be the bride of Christ, people are encouraged to adjust your sleep work against being the bride and taking over the relationship between us and the holy king.
8. Thou shalt not steal. In the Catholic belief system, leaders are taught to steal the hearts of many men women and children to legislation, politics, and gift giving.
9. That should not bear false witness. In the Catholic belief system, they live a lifestyle that is abominable and a lie- pretending to be lovers of God but their actions and in their words but their hearts are far from him.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, white, or possessions. In the Catholic belief system, they covered the power of God for themselves controlling people in the message via political structures political laws and ungodly gifts.

Hard Work- Does It Really Pay Off?
Someone prompted me to speak about hard work, asking if it really pays off…. The only thing that I can do is go back to the Word of God:
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5
Notice the way that God worked for six day, “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.” Genesis 1-2, all.
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10.
Yes, it pays off!!!
Joy comes in the morning, you may rest, and eat! 🙂

Expand the Good
One of my major tasks is to expand the good that I see.
That’s tough… but what’s more challenging is to expand the God that I see, but I press, everyday!

As people of God when we do this we shine bright and point people to Christ as their source for all good things.
If there is anybody with a positive demeanor or cheerful attitude, it should be us.
If there is anyone around with kind words to say, it should be us.
If there is anyone listening and caring, it should be us.
If there is anyone around to lend a helping hand, it should be us.
For the next few days, I dare you to expand the good that you see and make it a point to steer people to Christ wile you’re doing it!

Put The Big Rocks in First
Earlier today, I heard someone say ‘Put the Big Rocks in First’.
They were discussing the importance of putting first things first. Deciding what is, what is important, and securing those things in order of importance.
Later, I was thinking of this expression and how it should be applied to my life as a woman of God.

I decree and I declare I will seek God and please him all the more today and forever more.
But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).
But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well (Luke 12:31).
So: If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be (Ecclesiastes11:3).
Then… I will have taken care of my soul first, then take care of other concerns thereafter.
If I give my heart to Christ:
then I can take some courses and get that degree
then I can build my business
then I can date, get married, etc.
then I can do this or that…

People of God, please promote peace.
People should look to you for peace. I know that what you want to say is ‘true’, but ask the Holy Spirit if you need to say it out loud … Ask because what you want to say may be lawful, but not expedient.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers (Ephesians 4:29).
Moreover, Jesus said, Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God (Matthew 5:9).
Be encouraged to let healthy words come out of your mouth!

In my family we were told to ask, to say please, and thank you.
So I get that we always want ask. In the past, and sometimes even now when I’d ask my heavenly father questions about things, get into patterns of mild desire, failing to push past the mildness, and walk in what I was destined to receive.
I have often expressed desire…

I had often asked:
May I bring glory to your name with my life?
May I be a light?
May I share?
May I encourage?
May I edify?
May I suffer long?
May I show mercy?
May I be gentle?
May I give someone hope?
May I touch someone’s life with my mine?
May I be a light in darkness?
Today, I know that it does not make sense to ask Him questions He as already given us the answers to.
Stop trying to drive in neutral or be in the state of analysis paralysis.
Remember what he already to you.

We Are But Grass
Good people make hard times so much more bearable! … And the good times so much sweeter.
The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field (Isaiah 40:6).
When I look into the faces of my grandparents, parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews, I am #Grateful. I know that I only have them for a season and cherish them.
Count your blessings, every one! You won’t have time to be ungrateful!
Sit Where You Can Hear
One of the most important things that we can do is hear from the Lord.
Young or old,
In the battle or about to walk into one…
It is important to hear from the Lord.
Knowing this, make sure that you are not setting by that friend who likes to smack her gum or that lady who always complains (about everything).
A lifelong student, I have had to strategically sit close to the front; close to my instructor-
I need to hear what I need to do.
I need to know what I need to know.
I need to know what my instructor expects of me.
And as I learn to yearn and listen for the voice of my Lord, I refuse to ask Ray-Ray if I can I look at his notes after class.
I want to listen and take my own, sure that I have heard from the Most High God.
Futher, I need to be physically located where I will not be distracted by people:
Who don’t care if they pass the test or not
Who don’t mind repeating this class next semester
Who don’t have goals or parents who have high expectations.
I need you Lord.
Please order my steps in your word!
Teach me, help to move myself away, away from the noise and hear from you.

Closed Doors
The wind against my face is like a wake-up call.
I guess this means that I am growing up a lil bit.
I can’t believe that I’m saying this but…
I really like it when doors close.
Knowing who is really in charge- Jesus Christ- closed doors help me focus on what really matters.

As a woman of God, I have discovered the importance of being prepared when shift happens.
As noted in an recent post, our Lord is a great prepare-er…
You better believe it, He is always planning and preparing.
He is always up to something. Nothing just happens.
Nothing.
No thing.
To this end, as a woman of God, I am learning to be quiet (… study to be quiet, I Thessalonians 4:11) and listen to the spirit of the Lord, on the edge of my seat- as ready as I can be- to obey His every command (II Corinthians 10:6).
When the shift happens in my life, I want to be ready.
I decree and I declare, I will be ready!
… And I encourage you to do the same! 🙂

A New Thing!
Sometimes, I seem to simply get tired of the same-ole-same-ole. I strive to have a renewed mind, to be full of divine revelation. Yes, there is nothing new under the sun, but Lord, I also know that you can do a new thing. Lord, whatever it is that you decide to do, that thing will be new to me. 🙂
Dry bones, get up! Dead things, leave, at once! In the name of Jesus!

All else being equal, it would be significantly easier to work on the first job.
With the first job, you will be allowed to focus on one thing your entire shift.
In this life, we need to focus on one thing: Pleasing our Lord.
If we seek our divine purpose and let everything else just happen, all will be well!

Braces Hurt
There is a familiar adage that states, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.”
Imagine the difference between wearing braces on your teeth as a 2nd grader verses wearing them as an adult.
Imagine the difference between wearing braces your feet/legs as a 5th grader verses wearing them as an adult.
The bible makes mentions of adult men being circumcised. Oh, the pain of that experience!
I cannot fathom living in sin or living for years in some manner, sincerely wrong before learning the right way. My heart now understands what Paul endured. After a life of thinking he was serving the Lord, he was serving satan, killing Christians.
I pray, Lord cut back our evil, our sin, and weights before we get used to the weight, before we get entrenched in ungodly structures. After a life time of serving myself, I was afforded the opportunity to get it right. Now, I finally take on the opportunity to serve Christ through serving others.
Lord, always lead me down the paths to serve you. I need to please you. Let my heart never wax cold. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
A Made Up Mind
As I prepare to travel across the country, I know that the path before me is full of hills, mountains, buildings, and skyscrapers.
I know that no matter how large the building or how gigantic the mountain, there is nothing more powerful than the mind that the Lord has given to me to travel around and through them.
I know that there is nothing that is more powerful than the determination that is inside of me when I make up my mind to do a thing.
I decree and I declare that I will let my mind be as the mind of Christ Jesus.
I will give God:
Glory with my life.
Praise with my lips.
Honor with my actions.
Do that which pleases my Lord.
– Be about my heavenly Father’s business!
For Christ Sake
While serving as a supervisor for At&t, I rendered disciplinary action to one of my employees who consistently used this phraseology out of context, alongside a choice word, that begins with the letter F …
I’ve heard it used countless times, mostly inappropriately. I make a conscious decision to overthrow this trend and use it properly in my life.
The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof! We are joint heirs with Christ!
… You may ask: Well, to be an heir, doesn’t someone have to die?
He is alive. Better yet, we we are alive also!
Yes, but because He died and rose again, and when we’ve truly died to ourselves, to our flesh, we enter into our portion of our inheritance.
In this vein, we continue His work, ‘On earth, as it is in heaven’.
In Jesus name:
I claim healing from cancer for Kingdom work
I claim healing from diabetes for Kingdom work
I claim freedom from all physical and mental illness, for kingdom work
I claim freedom and liberty from geographic spirits and all geographic ties for Kingdom work
I claim freedom from all demonic spirits for Kingdom work
I claim healing in my financial life for Kingdom work
I claim a new vehicle for Kingdom work
I claim space for people to live in my home for Kingdom work
I claim blessings to come from the north south east and west – let them over take me in the name of Jesus!
