Growing in Christ

Sure? Unsure?

I remember that there was a commercial advertising deodorant years ago.  In it, there was a stadium or auditorium full of people.  Those who were ‘sure’ lifted their hands, those who were not ‘sure’ did not lift theirs.

There is nothing more important in this lifetime than being sure of our salvation.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).

… being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:8).

I decree and I declare, that we be confident in Christ!
