Sometimes, when we achieve a desired outcome, we get stuck in the mud.

We get over-excited about our achievement and stay there.
Proud of what we have accomplished we sit and reflect. We do need to reflect, but then quickly move forward. Why? I’m glad you asked!
Our work is not done yet! As people of the Most High,
We press toward the mark, ‘I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 3:14).
We move from Faith to Faith, For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).
… and from Glory to Glory But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (I Corinthians 3:18).
More specifically, we must remember that nothing that has happened to us is solely for us.
God allows us to go through trials, tribulations, and triumphs so that we can:
1. Share our good news with others.
2. Teach others to pass the test using helpful hints, guidelines, etc.
3. Teach others to avoid our pitfalls altogether.
No so that we can sit back and be amazed at all of ‘our good work’ all day, lol.
Let me give you an example. Genesis 1:31 explains that the Lord looked at all of His creation and that it was good.
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
… Key point-
He did an excellent job. He did not stop there. He kept pressing, doing, creating, … as we all know, he has shown Himself strong throughout history.
Philippians 1:6 explains, Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
We are each a work in progress until He calls us away from this life.
Don’t get stuck in the mud of great accomplishments, keep pressing. 🙂
